Wall hung toilet extension pipe

What happens at the lower end of the bent soil pipe connector supplied?
What does this go into?

if i`m not mistaken this would be the toilet?

Maybe I'm misreading it - op's picture is suggesting to me that the supplied straight connector from the pan is too short to meet the inlet to the supplied bent pan connector. So he wants an elongated straight connector (instead of an offcut of soil pipe) which he cannot source.

we suggested the straight toilet conector extension piece but it the wrong way round? i`m confused as i`m certain this would do the job or am i missing something ???

Here's the deal - short pan connector fits into extention possibly trimmed in length), have to leave rubber finned end on since diameter of extention is too large to fit into top of bend, so have potential situation of trying to have these fins create the seal with rubber seal of bend, which I think may be problematic.

Can't use flexipipe (which we all hate anyway) since still have problem of rubber/rubber seal.

No access now to soil pipe behind pan.

Am still thinking!!! :?

Sorry.
But I don't see how this could work. The WC on the left of my drawing has a male spigot 100mm dia. The bend on the right is female with rubber seal like a pan connector. the part I have drawn at the bottom is the supplied bit to join these together but is too short. So what I need is something similar to this but longer.

can you please explain why the extension piece i have mentioned won`t work ?

place a straight connector into female soil pipe quote 17227

insert extension piece into straight connector quote 12078
mark and cut to required length

hang toilet

i`ve fitted several of these toilets

the extension piece we are suggesting is 250mm long and from your drawing i believe this to be adequete if not a few mm too long but can be trimmed to size????

True, but not sure that you can get one - normally you'd have the pan connector going directly into black soil pipe with possible use of extender should this be required. Also true the rubber male isn't likely to seal into female rubber. So we have a probem.

The only solution I can think of assumes that you have enough of an opening behind the pan (you can cut a bigger one out for access providing you keep within the outline).

Pan connector goes into male end of 90 black soil pipe bend http://www.screwfix.com/prods/70115/Plumbing/Soil-Vent/92-5º-Bend-Single-Socket-Black

Offcut of pipe (http://www.screwfix.com/prods/15484/Plumbing/Soil-Vent/Single-Socket-Soil-Pipe-Grey-2x3m (black available in shorter lengths from bq if you can't find an offcut around house/in skip somewhere)) goes from other end of 90 bend into universal connector http://www.wickes.co.uk/Soil+Vent/Soil-Universal-Connector/invt/158824 which goes into soil pipe in floor.

Thus you don't use the supplied 90 pan connector.

Well, it'll work - really hope you can source that long pan connector, but like i said, i've never seen one (then again, never had to look for one!!!)

I think that the diameter of the extention is too wide to fit into the female soil pipe. But I may be wrong and will take yout word for it based on your experience. If you've used a piece in this way then sorry for doubting you and wasting your time. :?

I presume you mean place the straight connector onto the WC male spigot. Then fit extension piece plain end to this, cut off rubber bit and push this into Supplied-installed bend.
What is the dia of the main body of the extension piece? will this fit into my bend? If it will it sounds like the perfect plan.

Sorry Swidders,
I will have to do as you say if there are know other options, But this would be a disaster, cladding is 18mm plywood, 12.5mm plaster board, plaster, paint and breaking out hole in finished floor. This will mean divorce. Surely someone can supply the required fitting?

Of course it will be the perfect plan, it all depends on the diameter, which I am having doubts about. Like you, i'm off to bq tomorrow to check!!!

ok think i`ve got it well hope i have for your sake!!!!

connect the supplied fitting to the pan
then extend this with the extension piece i`ve suggested this way all rubber can be cut back if needed it`s universal so should seal well anyway i`d order one and try first before hacking wall apart even with P&P i think it`s worth trying

i`ve looked at the three toilets here two have male spigots the third female try a large plumbers merchant i`m sure there is a simple solution any chance you can post a photograph of toilet spigot supplied conector and waste pipe this would make things easier a picture tells a thousand words a photo should solve the problem i hope

Thanks for all the help guys, I have been to Drain Centre and picked up a few bits to try out. I will post picture of problem and solution when I get my camera back from GF tomorrow.

Thanks again.

As promised here are the pics

Supplied bits

These are the bits I bought.
My plan was to remove the rubber end off the black bit (which left 90mm spigot same as my original bit). connect the socket of this to the white pan connector using a short piece of the 110 soil pipe.

I then realised I could just remove the rubber end from the pan connector which left 90mm spigot, that I could just push in to my original black bit.

My only concern was that the rubber socket on my original black bit was 85mm dia with a second seal of 80mm dia, and might not be tight enough on the pan connector 90mm spigot.

Cut 20mm off original black bit and felt ok when assembled.

Ready to hang.

Underside once fitted.

Completed with no leaks.

Sorry if this is some thing like the both of you were trying to explain but my knowledge of drainage and its terms is limited.
Thanks Badger and Swidders for your help. I did not realise if I removed the male rubber fins off the pan connector it would leave a 90 dia spigot.
