Hi, I have a wall hung toilet that has leaked. After taking the pan off the wall I see it has leaked from the pipe that fills/flushes the toilet but not at the pan end but at the other end nearest to the cistern. There is a short stub of pipe maybe 6" with a soft squishy ribbed rubber ring at the pan end and a different ribbed squishy ring at the other end where it leaked. There is a pipe that comes down from the cistern and elbows forward at the last bit where the stub plugs in. It is shaped to take the rubber ring.

When I look online to find the parts I notice they are all sold with the soil pipe connector and the water fill pipe but with only the pan end rubber ring, so how do I know what to get? It would be so much easier if they sold bothe rubber rings in the kit.

Also when i refit should I use any sealant, silicon grease, etc to insure it wont leak again? It has last about 10 years and the rubber looks ok so I dont know why it has started leaking.

I'm not going to get it from Ebay but this is what is typicaly sold :-

Any help/advice appreciated.

Go to the manufacturer of your frame, they should have the correct bits for what you need.

Usually those fittings are all pushfit. Once the frame is fitted, the final wall covering goes on, then the flush pipe and the soil pipe toilet pipes are pushed through the holes in the wall covering, they are cut to size and refitted and then the then toilet is pushed on to them.

If the flush pipe is leaking at the push fit coupler at the bottom of the pipe that connects to the cistern, then it's that coupler that needs to be replaced. Lots of different types/shapes/fittings, frame and maker dependent but taking one of the Gerberits as an example below - the flush down pipe is number 19

Silicone etc should not be used, the push fit seal shouldn't need anything
