Wall Light

I'm running the cable for a wall light in the partition wall I'm building.

Thing is, we have no example wall lights in the house ... what's the typical height of one of these from the floor?! Ceiling height is 8ft.

Depends on what type of wall light it is, picture light, uplighter, downlighter, wall washer etc.

However as a general rule, most are installed between 1.9 and 2.2 meters from the floor.

Thanks for the advice. The light is something along the lines of this from Argos (though substantially less "frilly" ).

Exact height as FWL says depends upon style of fitting.

But hold it up and see what it looks like - you'll soon get a feel for what is too low & too high.
