Hi, we’re decorating a bedroom after having it skimmed. Most coats done etc.
We would like to put some MDF panelling on one wall, which is where the bed will go along.
We were thinking an MDF frame, then just vertical panels down, spaced apart.
The only issue is, we have a light switch and a socket on either side which is going to prevent us using 100mm width MDF throughout for it.
My question is, so you think it would be ok for the sides of the frame to be a lesser width MDF, with the rest being 100mm or should I use 100mm and cut out around the light switch and socket?

I’ve included a photo of the wall and the basic idea we want (obviosuly there will be more than two vertical panels).
