Wall socket in the way of wardrobe

Which is easier - cut a hole in the back of the wardrobe, or move the socket ?
Of course, there's little use for a socket inside a wardrobe

Oh yes there is! We have a socket at the back of a fitted wardrobe. We use it for re-charging a hand-held vacuum cleaner. It also comes in useful if we need a temporary power source in that corner, with the wardrobe door open, of course.

I've got a couple of sockets in a built-in wardrobe (arguably where there might have been some if there was no wardrobe there) which I put in during construction because it was hardly any bother and "you never know".

I've never used them.

Nor have I ever used the manual switch which is in parallel with the individual door switches and can be used to turn all of the lights on even when the doors are shut (they are true louvres, so the light does escape). I thought it might be a nice way to softly light the room, and it is, but neither of us CBA to use it, as it means getting out of bed to turn it off.

Also useful for powering interior lights in the wardrobe via a plug and door switch.
