Looking at wall papering the front room. One feature wall and the rest some sort of paintable wallpaper. Is this ok to do? Sole purpose is to reduce decorating time next time the other half decides she dont like the colour scheme no more.....Im starting to think it may look a bit cheap, but the thought of stripping all that wallpaper next time....aarrggh... Walls are not up to scratch to repaint.

Also we have a small kids toy box in the corner where the walls take a bit of a battering now and again when the toys get slung in. Is there some kind of clear protection substance that can be painted onto the wallpaper to protect it. Its the far end of the room and hidden behind a door. Im evewayn thinking of some sort of clear acrylic plastic screwed to the wall measuring 50cm x 50cm. You wouldnt notice it any unless you use the toy box.

Thanks

Yes you can use Polyvine decorators varnish which will protect the paper against wear and tear to a certain extent, we use it after papering changing rooms in shops, it is acrylic based and comes in a flat, satin or gloss finish.
