This is my first post so if I am making any mistakes or posting in the wrong category then I apologise!
I've recently moved into new rented accommodation and after receiving the landlady's go ahead to redecorate I decided to strip the ugly floral pink wallpaper in the spare room, in hopes of making myself a study.
After doing the first 2 walls I stupidly thought I knew what I was dealing with and upon taking on the task of the third (and exterior) wall I discovered strips of cardboard coming off with the wallpaper.
I'll admit I am quite young and although enthusiastic I am inexperienced, so after much Googling I discovered the cardboard wall beneath the wallpaper to be drywall that hasn't been plastered.
Now I have an uneven drywall that isn't plastered that I hope to paint.
What should be my next step?
I've halted stripping the wallpaper in worries of doing more damage.

After eagerly stripping wallpaper I discovered it wasn't just wallpaper coming off.
