Any idea why the cold feed to our power shower gets warm when not in use. The unit is a Bristan and is about 5 years old. How long this has been happening I dont know as until recently the pipes were boxed in and I only noticed this while doing another job which I had to remove the boxing to get to.
Thanks in advance.

Nige100, Good evening.

If the cold feed is warm at a point distant from the power Shower then lets consider the possibility that the cold feed is in places, touching or in direct contact with a hot pipe, neither of which has any Insulation attached?

What I am suggesting is that somewhere close to where you are finding a "Warm" cold feed this cold feed [which possibly is not covered in Insulation is in some form of "Contact" with a hot pipe, best guess will be a feed pipe to a radiator, the rad feed pipe may not have insulation surrounding it?

As I suggest, just a consideration?

After all by now there have been over 70 Views but no reply's ?

Ken.

Backflow of the hot through the cold when drawing cold water somewhere would be my guess
