Warm deck or green roof?

Hi

I need to replace two flat roofs; both are around 4m x 4m. Up until recently, I have been thinking of having a warm deck in line with building regs, but since have read about green roofs. I'm tempted to have those instead (just the shallow extensive ones, nothing deep rooted), but don't know the pros and cons between the two.

Anyone have any experience/views?

Note I'm tree-hugger, but happy to think about if there is any benefits

Green roofs are generally only used where they can be seen or as part of an environmentally based decision. If detailed and installed correctly there aren't really pro's and cons as you put it apart from cost.
