Hi All,
About 2 months ago I had a new kitchen fitted with solid beech worksurfaces. The kitchen was supplied by Wickes and fitted by a local kitchen fitter.
A couple of weeks back we noticed that the worksurface had warped. This worksurface is part of a breakfast bar and as it is in the middle of the kitchen dinner there is plenty of expansion around it.
I had Wickes round to have a look and the sales rep completed a form and was convinced it was a manufacturing issue rather than a fitting issue.
However now they are saying that it was incorrectly fiited, as the worksurface was not oiled pre fitting. We were told by Wickes that the surface was delivered pre treated and just needed oiling once fitted.
Has anyone else had a solid work surface from Wickes and were they told that it was pre treated?
Thanks
Glen
