Washer or no Washer, that's my question !

Hi, I have just bought a Mira Monobloc mixer tap which i will attempt to fit tomorrow.
I have notice that the flexible hoses have no washers fitted in the threaded couplings, is this correct ? Sorry, i am not a plumber, as you will have guessed !

All positive help appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave

the ends that go into the tap body or the other end?
two small o rings should be at the tap body end (usually)
if its the other that joins to the pipe/ fitting. they are usually nuts and olives that go onto the pipe or they will be 1/2 inch male iron connections.

they will need connecting to the pipe with a 1/2 inch female iron to 15mm copper adaptor. they come in straight or bent options.

oh you'll need some ptfe too.
(i'm crap at links)

Post a pic to be sure ,but you will almost certainly need washer to seal .

Thanks guys.

Mc - i have the threaded adaptor on the existing copper pipe and lots and lots of ptfe !
Terry - the taps came with a threaded coupler on the end of the hoses and a female coupler with olives to fit to the 15mm pipe, just thought it was odd not having washers in hose ends

Thanks again for your help,

Dave
