Hi.

Just bought a new washing machine and this is the first time I've had to connect it up myself. The problem I have is that the cold water connection pipe from the back of the appliance that connects to the cold water pipe is too short.

Is there such a thing as an extension pipe I can buy to resolve this or will I need to get back in touch with my supplier? I'm only short by 6inches or so.

You'll have to look for a 3/4M to 3/4M connector - I think you can get plastic ones. This wil give you back to back connection between two hoses to extend.
Failing that you could try just connecting hoses directly with jublee clips - you'll have to cut off one end fitting on each hose - but never seen a fitting for this myself. You need some sort of insert tube to go between the hoses.
