Hi all, looking for some help please (I’ve been searching through the forum but couldn’t find what I need).
The compression valve for my washing machine is leaking under the handle. It drips a tiny bit when open or close but sprays quite a bit of water when turning it from open to close. Do I need to replace the whole valve or can this be repaired?
Thanks in advance!

Worth removing the screw and removing the blue plastic handle. Then try turning on and off with a spanner or pliers.
Sometimes there is not enough clearance for the corners of the handle, and, if the blue cap nut isn't very tight, turning the handle can cause a leak between the blue cap and the body of the valve. The leak then stops again as the diagonal length of the handle passes the blue cap.
If this is the case, either leave the handle off (but close by) or put an extra 3/4" washing machine isolation tap washer under the blue cap.
