Washing machine will only spin if it has no clothes in it.

My washing machine will only spin when it has no clothes in it. As soon as you put clothes in and run it through a cycle it won't spin. It does drain. I just had the pump changed. I would appreciate any help you can give me on this. Thank you so much.

Thank you nstreet. I appreciate the help and I'm sorry I didn't notice the American? post before I posted my question. I have talked to a repairman since I posted and he will be changing the belt on Monday. Once again, thank you for the help.
