waste pipe toilet removal

help? i have an extention on my toilet waste pipe which i want to remove it has been fitten when the house was built in the late 60s,it is a cast iron material and didnt want to resort to going round the edge of the joint with a hammer and chisel,the reason is the exiention pipe is about two foof long with a bend from the wall and makes the toilet to far in the bathroom so to move it closer to the wall i want to remove this pipe extention anyone got any ideas please

Just be sure it is cast iron before you get the angle grinder out, could well be asbestos if it's that old and if you use the grinder to cut that you will have a good chance of dying of asbestosis within a few years if you inhale any of the dust.
