Hello,

I'm in the process of installing a dishwasher but was unsure if I'd need to swap out the entire kitchen trap for one with two waste hose connections, or if there is a Y splitter or something available allowing me to adapt the one that currently exists which receives the wash machine waste? The later would be my preference if it was possible!

Any help advice, greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Afraid I think you're only option is to change the entire waste kit, for one with 2 connections. I would take that existing discharge hose up a bit higher too, to eliminate any danger of backflow when the sink is discharged. Alternatively look at coupling into the waste pipe exiting from the trap with a suitable connection..
