Doing a repair on some kitchen cabinet doors. They are MDF, and had water penetration resulting in spots "pooching" or bubbling up on them. Sanded them flat, roughed up the rest with sandpaper, dripped primer in the sanded areas and let it harden etc... it's ready to go. My question is: the local hardware stores no longer mix/colormatch oil based paints (!?)
They encouraged me to buy this Valspar Aspire waterbased paint. I asked if that was a wise thing to do...considering the cabinet doors are below a sink and that water penetration is the main issue. And wet towels are going to be draped over them for years to come. Is it resilient enough?
What should I go with? Thanks.
