If a Copper Water Supply is bonded with 6mm earth within 600mm of stop cock, is it required to be upgraded to 10mm before any electrical work is carried out or is 6mm sufficient???
6mm is unlikely to comply with current regs, most dwellings will require 10mm, and if 10mm is required it must be upgraded. What is the earthing system, size of incoming supply tails, cut out fuse size ?
If it is more minor works, 6mm can be deemed ok - The line is something like "but the designer should strongly consider replacement, especially if the supply is pme".
If it is a short run, and easy to change, there is no excuse though.
