Water collecting under deck

Hi all
I have just finished my deck and have noticed that after rain I have water collecting under the deck. Before I laid the deck boards I put the garden membrane over the deck frame, not in the gaps of the frame and that's where the water is collecting. Will this be a problem or do I need to lift the boards and redo the membrane?

Why didn't you put the membrane under the deck frame?

Can't see why it would be a good idea tbh.

I'm not sure if weed control fabric uses capillary action to draw water through, maybe it does, which is why you have an excess of water sitting on its surface

Remember those old tents which were waterproof so long as you didn't touch them on the inside?

I can't see any sense in it either. Just grab a long knife and make some holes in the membrane for it to drain through.
