hi all ,my problem is for the last few years when it rains at an angle onto the front of my house it leaks into my house and drips are coming at top of my window.i have a typical terraced house.when it rains downwards it doesnt leak in.at 1st i thought it was sealant round my windows but ive redone it and still does it.im convinced it comes through the pointing.ive scraped it with a key and its very soft and easy comes away.could anyone tell me if this can happen.any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

If your pointing is failing it will allow for water to penetrate to the house, it could well be that driving rain will find it's way in, if the wind is blowing in that direction.
