Water doesn't drain from washing machine

Find out where the drain pipe connects into your house drainage...if its under the sink for example the outlet diameter is reduced somewhat and easily blocks up with threads or fluff. Remove the pipe connection for a clean.
If its a stand pipe type, check that the pipe end - with the curve - is free at that point.

Can you hear the pump running when the machine is set to drain ? If not, it's more likely to be the pump rather than a plumbing fault.
If you can't hear the pump, disconect the wastpipe and again, set the machine to drain. If no water emerges then the pump/filter need checking.
