Hello, I've looked through other threads as I can usually find the answer, but had no joy, so here goes....
I have a bay window which pokes out past the roof, rain water collects on the flat part and drips down onto the bay window sill below. Very loud, very annoying! I've even considered spending £ to build the roof out because it's that annoying LOL, but too expensive right now. Is there a cheaper fix please? Guttering round the bay and into the down pipe? Something to catch and muffle the sound of the drop? Something suctioned onto the higher part of the window? I feel like I've been awake for so long trying to engineer a solution lol, cheers in advance.

Pictures? If you have no guttering there already to catch the drips, fit some. If you do, check it isn't blocked

Do you not have guttering where the roof tiles run off on to the flat bay window roof? That guttering catches the water off the main roof, for the flat roof of the bay window this should have a downpipe that runs in to the main down spout?

If that downpipe is blocked with moss etc, this is when you get big water droplets dropping on the bay window sill and it annoys the hell out of you.

ps; had this a few years back and the temporary fix (guttering sorted 3 years later..) was to place a rosemary clay tile on the windowsill where the drips were hitting. Anything similarly weighty would work
