water flow

i am currently replacing my pump a grundfos,can anyone tell me how to determine the flow of water through it please.(which direction) please don't say follow the arrow because i had to strip the pump, and on re-assembly found it fits different ways

I don't think it matters, just follow the arrow. The significant part of the pump is the shape of the chamber.
