Anyone got any ideas on this one?
I’ve got a combi boiler and a water meter. Fitted a pressure reducer set to 3 bar but got pressure increase after demanding hot water so fitted a mini expansion vessel (0.16l) to the cold mains near boiler.
I got water hammer when the hot tap in either kitchen or bathroom was turned off, so fitted a Sioux mini hammer arrestor to hot feed near kitchen tap.
All was well for about 2 weeks but now I get a thud when the hot tap is turned ON! (None when turning it off). The disturbance seems to be mainly on the cold pipes.
Not sure where to go now, any ideas welcome. Thanks.
