Water in electric shower just stopped

Received solenoid in post, how do I get the old one out, undo the white nut in the centre ?

Maybe the four white plastic tabs squeeze inwards or something.

First thing I’d do would be to measure the resistance of the new solenoid coil - mainly for curiosity, but it could be useful to know.

Why u say that? It must be the right part as I ordered it from Mira, gave them the details e.g kw etc

Those plastic things are a bit knackered now as I pushed them in but I got it out. Tested with two probes on two small holes on back, can't get to without taking solenoid out the old solenoid showed nothing the new one 5.

Showers now working.

Your photos were very good and showed exactly what you were trying to do, including making the mistakes.

Just be aware - mistakes can be fatal when playing with angry pixies!
