Water Marks - Ceiling and Walls

Hi,

I recently had a leak which has casued water marks to my ceiling and walls, I have heard people reccommend Zinsser paint but could someone maybe suggest which one I should be using, I want to paint over with emulsion afterwards.

Cheers and I take it there will be no problems painting over the top with emulsion?

No, it`s good stuff. if you`re just doing the stained part, then leave random, jagged edges of the patch..less likely to be noticed under the emulsion

A tin of oil based undercoat does the same job, and costs a lot less. I've blocked many a water stain, nicotine stain with it, and you can still emulsion over it.
