I have a Hoover 147SE washing machine (cold water feed only) that is currently not heating at any time during the wash cycle. At the end of the cycle a light on the control panel flashes 14 times (Non digital display, just buttons with red led's on). I have removed the heater element to check its condition, and it was heavily limescaled, but after cleaning as a precaution and refitting, the problem is still there. Could it just be the heater element has blown and needs replacing, or could it be something else within the cycle - I thought id check before buying one and finding it still has a problem.
