Hi,
We are looking at having the two bedrooms on the second floor converted into the masterbedroom with ensuite. Can you tell me is the plumber able to come round and check that we will get enough flow or pressure to the second floor, not sure if there is a test they can do. We are on a combi boiler.
Thanks Lee

your boiler make and model, how many bathrooms you have already etc. would be a good start.but on assumption a combi would struggle with multiple outlets used at once. there is tests a plumber can do but youll be surprised how many think a flow cup and pressure gauge is a pointless part of there toolkit.

The boiler is a sime ( not my choice put in when renovated). The boiler is ony a year old and we will only have a shower room on the first floor and then the shower in the ensuite.

Sorry to say Lee, but your boiler is one of the worst on the market. It wouldn't be a bad idea to set a bit of money aside for when it goes wrong. You might be lucky and have no problems for years, but I would not count on it.
The good news is that it is a very simple job if you have the tools, to ascertain what the pressure and flow are.
