Hi All

Ive noticed the water pressure in my parents home has been really low for the past couple of months, and i have no idea what could be causing it. The water pressure is low on the hot and cold water taps.

Could someone please advise on what basic steps I can try and take to determine the possible causes?

As far as I know, there was no work done when this all started.

I'm going to guess there is no water tank in the loft, and I'm going to guess you have a combi boilker with no cylinder, and I'm going to guess you have a stop-cock in or by the pavement, and another near the kitchen sink, and I'm going to guess it is an old house with a lead pipe water main.

Am I right?

then perhaps the lead pipe has got crushed underground and is restricting flow. When I replaced an old half-inch lead with a new 20mm plastic the flow improved tremendously

try all the stop-cocks to make sure they are fully open, then backed off half a turn to prevent jamming.
