water pressure

hey guys,
hope you can help. i really need to increase my water pressure, does anyone know if it can be done, and how please. i have heard that you can fit a pump to do this but i am not sure that is right, i didnt think you could pump direct off the main.

about 25 psi

That's 1.7 Bar. Sounds alright to me. What's the problem?
