Just moved in, can see water running down behind the gutter onto the fascia on one side of the house.

It looks like the plastic fascia cover installed has pushed the guttering out too far from the tiles.

What’s the right approach for this, sort out the fascia or install some eaves drip/protector trays? Or something else.

Thanks

Well it looks like there is some sort of wrapping around the gutter that shouldnt be there and the gutter bracket in that area if you zoom in is not sitting flat on the fascia, looks all bent in pic 1 and you can see the gutter is twisted over.

The gutters dipped at that point, probably overflowing as well.

In first pic you can see the gutter isnt sitting properly in the bracket as well.

That wrapping I understand to be protection from an old boiler that was in the bathroom (since patched up where the pebbledash is missing).

So it sounds like not just a case of putting some eaves trays in so rain water is diverted into the gutter and calling it a day?

You could try slipping a couple of trays in and see if it works, it's hard to tell from the pics if there is a decent enough run to the outlet.

The gutter isnt installed correctly there. If that wrapping is no longer needed then remove it. You will also need a new gutter bracket there which will then sit flat onto fascia and then the gutter can then be pushed into the bracket correctly.

It’s just to me it looks like that the ‘wrap is lead or metal of some kind , maybe to stop the heat from vent from boiler melting the gutter . One of two things . Either the weight of wrap has pulled gutter away( If lead ) or the heat of boiler vent and weight combined has warped the guttering and bracket . To fix take off gutter re fix clips just replace the warped gutter to the 90 degree gutter cornering the left and get a half round union to the right where you’ll join back to old gutter
