Water Softener fitting

Hi,

I think with a new kitchen and ever increasing scale on my kettle I should get a water softener.

I have the following pipework in the image here;

I've read you need external to bypass the softener...and it may be best to have some hard water on at least one sink internally (this would be the utility area).

How easy will it be to replumb up here?

Also best (cheaper in salt) if outside tap is mains water, not softened.
And the tap you want un-softened is the one you drinkdfrom and fill the kettle with.

Sorry, but your kettle will continue to scale. The good news is that your washing machine and boiker and bathroom will not.
