Water Softener Installation - service valves or full bore?

Hi,
Could some one please confirm or recommend.............
is it ok to fit service valves / washing machine taps just after the main stopcock (/check valve) going into the property - or should they be full bore , since I need to connect up the water softener, of which all the water in the property, bar the drinking water, will pass through. Could this cause any problems due to the restricted bore these valves present?
(Heating system is indirect), cheers

For quality job use full bore valves,these cheap ball o fix are prone to leaking and cause loads of restrictions in the pipe work

When ever i install water softener then i make sure to use full bores especially as there is an unvented,which works on the principle what you put in is what you will draw out

Most water softeners come with a kit including the valves.

Make sure you haven't got an aluminium boiler ie: Worcester.
