I have a megaflow which does its job well, last week I had my water softener added to the system and a PRV just to be on the safe side and whilst it's ok, I have found the pressure in the shower upstairs is lower than before. I checked with Monarch and they suggest a day time pressure of 3.5 bar is recommended but when I adjust the PRV on the softener it remains at 2.9 bar. I've noticed there's a cold water combination valve that's situated right where the cold water feed enters the house and it says as default the pressure is set to 3bar, can this be adjusted to increase pressure or is it fixed? It's never been adjusted and was never an issue before the softener was added. I can call the main installer back but thought I would check here first.

Ok, so update, just spoken to Sadia, and they said the initial PRV should be situated the other side of the softener so the pressure into that can be set at 3.5 bar however if I then reduce the pressure with the cold water combination valve between the softener and the megaflow then wont this will surely achieve the same resulting pressure. Anyway, not a massive issue just a shame the pressure couldn't be greater!
