Water stain and stain block sprays question?

Hi,

I have a couple of small water stain marks on my ceiling under the bathroom which are completely dry touch (shower has been on since etc....)

I think I have located the source of the drip but I am not 100% sure.

Is it a good idea to cover them with a stain block spray and then paint or should I wait a while to see if they come back?
i.e. will the spray block stop new stains coming through as I ideally would like to monitor it?
