Water Stopcock 22mm x 25mm

I have remove this stopcock under the kitchen sink , and replacing it with a new stopcock due to old one leaking, I am unable to drop the 25mm nut onto 25mm pipe. It seem too tight I am even bought another stopcock but the same problem. The 22mm end fits ok. The orginal nut fits on ok. Any ideas would be grateful.

Don't worry I got it on now by tapping it on but it took a while.
