I live in a ground floor flat of a converted house, there is one maisonette above me. They have a separate water supply and i was on a shared supply with four other houses until a pipe was damaged in the cellar of one of the houses that couldn't be fixed, so i have now had my connection cut off from the original supply and connected with the flat above with their permission and now i'm sharing with one other property rather than four others.
i'd like to know if this is ok to stay like this rather than have my own separate mains put in. I have asked the water company four times with no reply.
staying like this would save me a lot of money and i can't see much difference in the situation before only that now i have a better supply with more water pressure. The upstairs flat isn't metered.
All i want to know if is this is ok what i have done and it's not breaking any water regulations, so far no one is bothering to let me know

You may like to send them a special delivery letter, but if not, the ball's in their court.
