This is begining to drive me insane! Water tank has been making a continual 'whooshing' refill noise every 5 seconds, 24/7. Upon closer inspection, it seems like the issue relates to one specific pipe/feed (on the left of the picture and not marked 'cold feed to tank') and can be heard most prominently in/behind the bathroom sink (potentially hot water pipe).

Can anyone help me to torubleshoot and resolve please? I have attached a picture of what appears to be the offending pipe and feed setup.

Thanks!

It's a universal/negative head pump, it is spinning up as it senses a drop in pressure maybe through a dripping tap or similar and then stops once it's pressurised again.

Thanks. I guess I could isloate (shutoff) the bathroom taps and see if that is the source of the issue then?

That would be the place to start. Isolating taps and see if it stops, if it doesn't then there may be a leak somewhere on the pipework, it doesn't take much of a leak to make the pump kick in now and again

Could be as simple as recharging the air in the expansion vessel at the back of the pump. Access looks difficult though. Look up the instructions for the Stuart Turner Monsoon.
