hello,

my name is Ric - am a newbie

want to make a (single glazed) window-type tray for holding water for a craft project - so the (interior frame) wood must be 100% waterproof and the glass-wood interface absolutely sealed. i have read on this forum about linseed oil paint, but is there anything else for sealing joints against moisture and for waterproofing frames please?

many thanks

R

thanks Alastair - that looks excellent - had considered actually going out and buying a single sealed window unit but that would probably create more problems than it solved, with the double glazing (no use to me) and the frame construction

making my own will be more fun anyway :)

many thanks again
