Hi guys,

I'm building a large vivarium. The vivarium will continually hold humidity of 60 - 80% and water may splash on inside..
I need some advise please on how I should go on waterproofing it and protect it from the high humidity..

I would say some high quality hardwood treated and then treat it with a good waterproofing protective coating ...about 3 or 4 times. Let it dry, another coat, let it dry another coat etc

then pour some water on it with the wood at say a 30 degree angle downwards when you think its ready, if it beads up and runs off, its sealed and you are good to go...

Be sure to coat the endgrain a lot but a diagram of your propsed vivarium would help a lot

You 'may' need to retreat it in the future
