Hi,

I have just removed tiles from a bathroom. This left the wall in a bit of a mess with old adhesive (scrapped of as much as i could) and a few small holes which I filled with plaster.

Am I okay to "Tank" this surface? in the past I have only tanked on new materials.

Will I still get a good seal on this type of surface?

to answer your question, yes you can tank onto the pb, BUT if it were me, the boards would be coming off, replacing with something like hardie backerboard or aqua panel, even using these I would tank, then tile away. Truth fully I have only ever heard of tanking systems failing a few tims in all my years, and every failure has been on plasterboard. Do it correctly, do it once. best of luck whichever way you choose to go mate
