Hello, recently laid a new lawn with wavey edging (not my idea), and its a pain to mow around.
As you can see from the attached photos, the mower doesnt reach some of the edges, so left with long bits.

What is the best/easiest tool to deal with this nicely?

    Thanks.

The top of the wooden border needs to be at the level of the soil in the lawn. Just done this but I used green corrugated plastic lawn edging which looks very neat.

Lawn shears. Less likely to damage the edging than strimmers.

You can get a set of battery clippers, (similar to the old style hair clippers a barber used to use), with an extendable handle. They are quite good for edging but like you we have those half log edgings. I found I had to raise them slightly so the bottom edge was fractionally higher than the finished lawn. This enables the teethof the clippers to get under and remove those annoying bits that grow between the curved edges. Something like these but with a removable extension handle.
