Hi has anyone any experience waxing interior doors, whats the benefits as apposed to varnishing? thx

Apply with a coarse cloth or mild steel wool rubbing well into the grain & then buff off wth a clean coarse cloth..
Its best suited to wood with a pronounced grain , smooth wood will not retain enough of the wax to give the desired effect..
Once waxed youre basically stuck with it
A nice polyurethane matt or satin varnish is probably more practical (especially with children/pets around) and will show the colour/grain of the wood more naturally
