Hope someone can throw light on a problem I have with this boiler. Now and then it drips under the main compression joint on the far right and I think the water is coming from somewhere a foot or so above this point.
Had a CORGI round and he could see no tell tale signs of where it might be coming from. It doesn't seem to have affected the pressure and it's being doing this on and off for a couple of years.
Any suggestions welcome

If pressure isn't going down then it is either a leak on the mains water side or possibly rain ingress from around flue area

The masonry around the flue looks pretty sound, but maybe rain blowing into the flue is a possibility. A leak on the mains side seems unlikely because it's so intermittent.
I think there's some kind of flexible hose above the drip but I've no idea what it does or why it would leak now and then.

Hasn't been fixed yet but all the engineers I've spoken to say it's almost certainly the auto air vent. Just in case this helps anyone.

If any boiler engineer sees it when its actually leaking then it should be easy to see where its coming from.

If its been doing this for two years then you could almost choose to ignore it.

As its a new model then its surprising that you did not call the installer back to sort it out at the beginning.

Is there any correllation between the leak and rain outside?

Tony

I had wb out to one leaking from just under the diverter valve close the mains inlet see if it stops
