WB 37CDI - Upgrading Roomstat

Hi all.. advice needed please.
I have a 2 year old WB 37cdi fitted with an internal DT20 programmer and a Siemens RDH10RF room stat. I want to upgrade this to a programmable stat ( Honeywell CM927 gets a good review on here ) Once fitted is it just a case of switching the DT20 to constant heat and let the new unit control both the temperature and on /off times or am I being too simplistic here?
