Hi
I'm about to install a close coupled WC. The pan will connect to the soil spigot in the concrete floor using a 90 degree connector. I believe the connector seals into the soil pipe spigot using the rubber gaskets

How do I fill in above the top of the gasket to fill in the space between the connector and the edge of the spigot? I've seen mentioned a wax ring. Or can I just cement over the connector/spigot join?

Would appreciate replies

Thanks

cement it in. how you ever going to remove it in the future.
just use a bead of silicone if your that worried.

Ok ...I know I'm ignorant. It's just that the existing WC (ancient) has the kind of trap that connects directly to the spigot and it appears to be sealed in/topped off with cement.

Thanks for the input
