I've got water leaking from the back of a WC. I took the toilet from the connection and was about to replace with a 110mm connector, however the soil pipe is wider. From memory I'd say it looked about 6 inch wide. Can I get a connector that'll do the job here thats a push fit?

Thanks in advance.

is the connection u trying to join 2 lead with a brass socket on or cast iron.

sounds like a 70s glue on panconnector that should have a large rubber bush that goes hard. if u still hav that they can be sealed with silicone on bothsides when dryed or cut the soilpipie back & use a panconnector extension & a new panconnector.

Thanks Bab.

Trouble is its a tiled bathroom and its boarded underneath. Can you think of anything I can do at the connection i have at hand? We may be doing the bathroom out in the not too distant future so are there any temporary measures? I did use some putty but it doesn't seem up to the job. Bought it from Wickes, so it may just be cheap stuff. Seems to sag and fall off eventually with the moisture, even when placed against the removed connection.

Cheers

if the old fitting is what i think it is then when u look in side u should be able to see the inside of the soil pipe it is glued to, a 110mm pan connector or extension that can b cut to length will fit inside 110mm pipe.
