Hi,

My toilet has a leak from the (offset) waste connector but I've been told it's upside down. If that's right, I assume that the soil pipe will need to be moved down vertically so that it's either inline with the WC connector or below it - is that correct?

Thanks :)

tbh I`m kind of surprised the Brown stuff was being flushed away there.
Plinth under the pan?

Thanks for the quick replies :)

OK - a plinth is very possible. The bathroom will need re-doing fairly soon anyway so I'm not worried about the plinth looking "less than ideal" as long as the loo works properly.

I can't believe someone fitted it like that

Don’t be too quick to judge the plumber... we are often left with the impossible - despite forewarning customers and requesting other trades to allow for what we need to make things work!

That's quite a steep angle on the soil pipe, so depending on the distance to the stack, you might be able to make it a bit shallower.
