We had an outdoor WC until about 1955,but it did have a roof. Next door was a bomb site, but luckily they didn't get our loo.
We had cold running water, no hot, and no bathroom, until about 1955.
Leprosy, yes that was still about.
No shoes? - mine often had holes, which I'd place some cardboard inside. Of course, when it was wet that was useless.
A lot of our clothes were hand-me-downs. Probably my shoes were too.
