I tend to look at the BBC web page for local news, and clearly some news is still reverent so 5 days latter. But
and when you start the read, the report is 3 days old, so the Sunday it refers to is not 6th September but 30th of August, so was published on the day of the predicted flooding, so it was never really news, it was just history.
Like many I assume, at last the garden is starting to recover, and grass is starting to grow, at least in some areas, and I am looking at what I can do in the garden before end of year.
The hedges to cut mean walking on the lawn, which has not recovered enough, to cut the grass which has grown, it is too wet, and so I seem to have no option but abandon the garden.
